The diversity of Esdaile’s multifaceted career as an artist is perhaps best exemplified by glancing at an overview of his commissions from 1997- present. For in addition to producing works for solo exhibitions, Esdaile has been active in delivering commissions of paintings, sculpture and drawings for a diversity of clients, from private collectors to buildings in the public sector, cruise ship decorations, a variety of restaurants and some private clinics and hospitals. And while these works vary greatly from more figurative and symbolic paintings and drawings to complex abstract sculptures, Esdaile’s works remain true to his aesthetics of beauty, poetry and the celebration of life.
